Glenwood is a member of The Alliance and works collaboratively with Gateway, Children’s Aid Society, and Agape to provide short-term therapeutic foster care and in-home services. Glenwood is a member of the Autism Society of America, the Autism Society of Alabama, United Way, and is nationally certified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
In 2005, Glenwood and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health partnered to present the first Glenwood Lecture. In 2007 Glenwood was pleased to announce the endowment of the Glenwood Lecture Series, permanently adding this event to the Spring lecture calendar at UAB. The purpose of the lecture series is to link the clinical service expertise of Glenwood with the research and teaching expertise of UAB. As the lecture series develops, it will hopefully foster a growing sense of unity around the health impacts of and care responses to behavioral health disorders such as autism.
