Job Description :

The Office of Development is looking to fill this position with a professional individual that has skills, knowledge & abilities to perform a wide range of administrative and public relations project duties which will involve verbal and written communications with both internal and external contacts. Person must have internet social media knowledge and exp. in applying these new technologies into actual practice. Duties include:

¨ Provide admin. support for the development team with phone coverage, written correspondence, meeting and event planning, expense reporting and calendar mgmt., coordinate Glenwood's internet and social media by using current technology

¨ Help create marketing materials, printed and digital as necessary for the agency, events and programs. Website exp. is preferred to the functioning of this position.

¨ Ability to assist with the actual writing and composition of grant applications to federal, state, local government agencies in addition to foundations and corporate entities.

¨ Provide front desk receptionist duties and have good interpersonal relations skills and conduct tours as needed requiring good presentation skills.

¨ Assist with agency communications, marketing, donor mgmt. programs and activities .

 

 Current staff expressing interest must complete the internal transfer request, have your supervisor approve, sign and submit to HR before the September 7th deadline

Job Requirements :

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS in PR, Marketing, Communications or related field strongly preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to relate to volunteers, donors, and Glenwood constituents. Must be willing to work a flex. work schedule. Strong computer and writing skills required.  Must have advanced knowledge of Quark/In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, GoLive, FrontPge, HTML coding, MS Office programs, Nero/Moviemakeer or other multimedia software, digital photography, design, marketing trends, merchandise marketing. Knowledge of general accounting principles, database management skills. Ability to manage multiple task and work under pressure, self starterMust have a valid AL driver’s license and driving record acceptable to agency’s insurer; must maintain min. valid automobile insurance as required by Glenwood. Must pass a criminal history and MVR background check; clearance with Alabama Dept. of Human Resources Child Abuse/Neglect Registry & the ABI/FBI registry required.
